This research package contains:
2 x Q-Strip Version v1.0.3 (Update version 3)
1 x SD – logger device v1.0.2
1 x micro SD 4 Gigabyte memory
1 x USB cable
This research package is fully open source and is only available for limited amount of users.
The fixed price is to cover mostly all postal costs world wide during this project.
Your logger is full open source, in experimental fase but very robust and stable!
Once You have installed the Q-Strip & logger, You will be able to log 24/7 how Your body is responding by night sweats. The data will be available in a CSV file format on the SD card that’s included.
On the SD cart is a simple example how to put Your data into a simple Excel chart.
The Q-Strip V1.0.3 will have an average usage time of 6 months, it depends how wet the sensor will become. The bed of v3 is made with a isolated glue side to stay at position.
IMPORTANT --> THIS IS YOUR RESEARCH!<–
WHEN THE SENSOR IS DAMAGED IN ANY WAY YOU MUST REPLACE THE SENSOR DIRECTLY.
EACH DEVICE WILL BE PROGRAMMED WITH AN INTERNAL CLOCK SET ON THE REGION OF THE RECIEVER ADRES. THAT TIMEZONE WILL BE PROGRAMMED MANUALLY BEFORE SENDING OUT DEVICES.
*******Whenever You Take Out or in the SD MEMORY card make always sure Your device IS unplugged from the power source! *****
Getting ready to monitor Your nightsweats:
Unpack the Q-Strip and roll it our carefully uppon the top of Your matras but under Your matras sleeve.
Make sure You have about a 80 cm of sleep space covered, at breast hight.
If You would like to keep the Q-Strip in place, You can use double sided tape to keep the Q-Strip in place.
Once Your Q-Strip is being placed, check if Your datalogger has an SD memmory card inserted. If it’s in then You can attach the USB cable to the device & plug it into any USB charger or power device.
The moment when getting power, the device will log every minute the sweat rate during Your sleep.
Arduino Source
For advanced users: You can program Your own device by using the Arduino IDE and the source below. By the source You can for example change the RTC ( Real Time Clock) for correcting time during summer/winter time changes.
